RIVERVIEW - A deputy had to be cut out of his cruiser after a Friday morning crash in Riverview.
The incident happened around 7:00 a.m. on U.S. 301 at Ayersworth Glen Boulevard.
According to officials, the deputy's cruiser was rear-ended by a truck.
The deputy was loaded onto a stretcher and put into an ambulance after being removed from the vehicle.
He appears to be in good condition.
The cruiser sustained damage to the back and a tire collapsed.
The truck involved has limited damage to the front.
No word on the driver or passengers in the truck at this time.
