VENICE, Fla. - A man arrested after allegedly being in the nude near a Venice restaurant Saturday is believed to be the man wanted for a series of flashing incidents.
According to Venice Police Sgt. Troy Crepeau, William Waldman, 50, was taken into custody after officers located him near Sharky's On the Pier following tips from people at the restaurant who reported him being naked.
Officers responded and people at the restaurant pointed Waldman out. He allegedly fled on foot toward a beach area before officers caught up to him.
An officer pulled out a Taser and threatened to Tase him and he stopped. Another officer jumped a railing and took Waldman into custody.
Waldman is being charged Saturday night with loitering and prowling. Crepeau said police are pursuing more charges if they connect him to the other flashing incidents.
He will be booked into the Sarasota County Jail.
