BRADENTON - Deputies from the Manatee County Sheriff’s are investigating a double shooting in Bradenton that has left one person dead and another person wounded.
According to investigators, the shooting happened at 4306 8th Street Court East around 2:25 p.m. on Thursday.
Witnesses told investigators that a gold car pulled up and two men got out. One of the suspects began shooting at two other men outside.
Lytreeon Collins, 32, and Markeith Laws, 18, were shot.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital where Collins was pronounced dead.
Laws was shot in the leg and is expected to survive.
Detectives are working several leads, but no arrests have been made.
