Suspect shoots at driver in road rage incident

SARASOTA -  A man involved in a road rage incident overnight was arrested after shooting at another driver in Sarasota.

The incident happened at East Bay Street and Glenwood Ave at 11:45 p.m,

During a road rage dispute, Mason Parker followed Tyler Thorpe in an attempt to get his tag number.

Thorpe stopped his vehicle, stuck a shotgun out of the window and fired toward Parker.

Parker wasn’t hit. Deputies found Thorpe’s vehicle and arrested him. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Discharging a Firearm in Public from a Vehicle.
