School bus crash reported in Manatee County

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. - Minor injuries were reported in a school bus crash next to Mills Elementary School in Palmetto Monday morning. 

According to a spokeswoman for the Manatee County school system, two students hit their heads and were taken to a hospital for observation.  Their injuries were said to be NOT critical.

6 - 9 other students were being treated at the scene.  The remaining students were taken to the school.

The crash occurred right next to the school which is located at 7200 69th Street East in Palmetto.

There was no immediate word on how the crash occurred.
