SARASOTA, Fla. - The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating a triple homicide.

Deputies were called out to the 4100 block of Tonga Drive in Sarasota Friday night shortly after 11 p.m. after a relative reported that 58-year-old Thomas Moak, Jr. allegedly shot and killed his father, mother, and sister.

The relative also said Moak was about to kill himself.

Spokeswoman Wendy Rose confirms the deceased have been identified as 82-year-old Isabelle Moak, 80-year-old Thomas Moak, Sr., and 62 -year-old Renee O'Connor. All three victims and the suspect lived at that address.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they talked Moak into coming outside. He was immediately taken into custody without incident.

Deputies discovered the three victims inside the home.

Moak was booked into the Sarasota County Jail and is being held without bond. He waived his right to a first appearance Saturday morning.

Investigators have not released a possible motive for the murders.
