Man ran vehicle into Sarasota bar, attempted to run over bar owner, deputies say

SARASOTA - The owner of a Sarasota bar is safe after a suspect tried to run the victim over with a car he used to crash into the establishment Monday night, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.
Deputies arrested 39-year-old Sean Kilduff at Stragglers Bar at 6:30 p.m.
Authorities went to the bar, located at 5580 Swift Road, in response to a shooting.
They discovered that Kilduff had been involved in a disturbance with the bar’s owner, James Wilbert, earlier that evening.
Kilduff left the bar, got into a vehicle, and rammed the building, deputies said.
Wilbert responded by shooting at the vehicle with a firearm. Kilduff tried to run over Wilbert and another person.
An investigation was conducted and resulted in Kilduff’s arrest.
He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Criminal Mischief.
