FRUITVILLE, Fla. - Sarasota County deputies searched Fruitville Elementary School on Monday night after a woman told someone that she had targeted the vehicle of an employee of the school.
The bomb threat, allegedly made Monday by a woman in Jacksonville to a man in Texas, involved a person who works at the school and their private vehicle, not the school itself.
Nothing suspicious was found, and deputies confirmed that the person who allegedly made the threat was not in Sarasota County and in fact was located at her home in Jacksonville.
There will be a heightened law enforcement presence at the school today, in an abundance of caution for the safety and security of students and faculty.
