PALMETTO, Fla. - MORE: The best celebrity mug shots

Manatee County Sheriff's deputies arrested a woman who they say actively encouraged her daughter to fight another student.

On September 17, deputies responded to a fight between two Palmetto High School students in the 4800 block of 17 Street West in Palmetto.

During the investigation into the scrum, they learned that the mother of one of the students, April Newcomb, was present at the fight and actively encouraged her daughter to fight the other student.

Apparently, the 16-year-old girl told her mother of plans to fight the other student at a vacant field by Emerson Point in Palmetto. The Sheriff's Office obtained video of the fight that was posted on the Internet. The video shows 39-year-old Newcomb encouraging her daughter to fight and not making any attempt to stop the fight.

Newcomb was arrested Wednesday, and charged with Child Abuse.
