Couple walking in Palmetto finds a woman's body, officials investigating

PALMETTO - Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found in Palmetto early Thursday morning.
A couple on their morning walk discovered the body in the 2900 block of 24 th Ave. E at 6:20 a.m.
Detectives say that there is trauma to body and are treating the case as a homicide.
It’s not clear whether she was killed at the location or if her body was carried there.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
