Manatee Sheriff's Office gun buy back program sees large turn out

BRADENTON, Fla. - Manatee County Sheriff's Crime Prevention Office held a gun buy back operation all day Saturday.
People with unwanted guns could come and exchange their firearms for cash. The money used to purchase the firearms was from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund made up of seized drug money.
The Sheriff's Office paid close to $38,000 for 459 firearms.
The firearms collected included five different types of assault weapons.
