SARASOTA, Fla. - Two people made a disturbing discovery in Sarasota on Wednesday morning.
Just before 10:00 a.m. they found a painter pinned between a building a lift machine.
The accident happened at the Sarasota Military Academy located near the intersection of Orange Ave. and 10th Street.
One of the one of witnesses was able to bring the machine down while the other removed the man, according to Sarasota Police. They immediately began CPR and called 911.
The man was rushed to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, but died from his injuries.
According to police, the man was working for Service Painting of Florida.
OSHA has been called to the scene to investigate.
