Mother, unborn child die after Manatee motorcycle crash

MANATEE COUNTY - An 18-year-old and her unborn child were killed in a fatal Bradenton crash overnight.
Shaniece Porter of Bradenton was riding on a motorcycle eastbound on 53 rd Ave W in the right lane, approaching the intersection of 20 th St. W. when she struck a curb just after 11:00 p.m.
She lost control of the 2009 LHJ motorcycle and her body separated from the vehicle.
She victim’s body struck a bus stop sign while the motorcycle ended up blocking the right lane of the intersection.
Porter, who was eight months pregnant, was taken to Blake Medical Center.
She and her fetus passed away.
