BRADENTON, Fla. - A 16-year-old Bradenton boy is expected to survive after being shot Friday night.
According to Manatee County Sheriff's spokesperson Dave Bristow, the boy was found at a fire station in the 1800 block of 30th Ave East in Bradenton, after being wounded in the area of the1800 block of 28th Ave East around 7:45 p.m.
The boy was being treated by paramedics when deputies arrived and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Bristow.
"At this time, it appears that this was an accidental shooting," Bristow said. Investigators are still interviewing those involved to determine exactly how the boy way shot.
