HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - If winter’s freezing temperatures or sinkholes brought any damage to your home in The Tampa Bay area, there may be some financial aid headed your way.
Low interest federal loans as large as $200,000 are available to fix or replace damaged real estate; up to $40,000 is available for damaged personal property.
The U.S. Small Business Administration will provide the special loans to homes or businesses that were impacted between January 2nd and February 1st of this year. Both residents and businesses can apply for low interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. small business administration at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center, located at the Plant City Visitors Center on Park Road in Plant City.
The disaster declaration covers Hillsborough County as well as Hardee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk.
The center will be open on the following days:
Wednesday, June 2 thru Friday, June 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, June 5, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Monday, June 7 thru Wednesday, June 9, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
