Woman's body found in Winter Haven

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Homicide detectives were called to the Chain of Lakes Trail in the Winter Haven area where the body of an 18-year-old was discovered Monday morning.
Police say the body of Alisha Dorene Barnett of Poinciana was found about a half-mile from her school, New Beginnings.
Police responded to a call for medical assistance along a trail used to get to the school at a bridge in front of Carefree Cove shortly after 8 a.m.
