Teacher, student injured in flight school plane crash

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Two people are suffering from injuries after a practicing flight school student crash landed a plane in Winter Haven Sunday afternoon, Polk officials confirm.
Only the student and an instructor were on the plane when it ran off the runway at Winter Haven airport around 1:15 p.m.
Both were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The flight school has possession of the plane involved in the incident.
