WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Winter Haven police had a busy morning Sunday, with two bloody calls happening on the same street.

Police say that two different incidents left several suffering from stab, cutting and gunshot wounds.

The first event happened at 3:00 a.m. Sunday on Sears Avenue N. E., when a fight broke out among a large group of women. One woman, Shatorya Govia, 27, jumped into the fight armed with a razor knife.

Police say Govia cut and stabbed multiple people in several different parts of the body, including the face.

One woman was cut across her back. The slash was 14 inches long.

After being treated for minor injuries, Govia was booked into Polk County Jail.

45 minutes later officers responded to a different address on Sears Avenue N. E. This call involved a dark colored Buick that had pulled up to a house where two men were involved in an argument.

Someone inside of the car fired shots at the two arguing men. Martha Kinsler, a bystander, was shot in the calf.

The gunman fired a couple more shots before fleeing the scene. Kinsler was taken to Winter Haven Hospital where she is being treated for her gunshot wound.

Police are asking for the public’s help in gathering information about the shooting. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS.
