WINTER HAVEN - Authorities have arrested three more people in the death of a South Tampa man, bringing the total number of arrests to five.
Detectives identified the fifth suspect in the robbery and murder of Richard Blackman on Monday.
Tampa Police's Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Polk County Sheriff's Office then took Chase Morgan, 17, into custody at his mother's home in Winter Haven.
Next, the group arrested Shadow Hill, 20, and Tyler Robertson, 19, at the Sky Inn on U.S. 92 in Winter Haven. Detectives were conducting a search warrant at the motel on Tuesday morning.
All three men are charged with first degree murder, arson and armed robbery. Detectives have determined one of the suspects knew Blackman and orchestrated the robbery, but would not identify which suspect.
Blackman was robbed and murdered at his home on Interbay Boulevard. Firefighters found him in his living room when they responded to a fire at the house on Thursday.
Two men, Tanner Harrison, 19, and Kermit Sanford, 34, were arrested over the weekend. Both are charged with first degree murder.
Authorities have not determined Blackman's exact cause of death yet.
