LAKELAND, Fla. - Lakeland police say an argument outside of a home led to shoving and a stabbing.  Clarence S. Montgomery, 52,  is now charged with second-degree murder.

Officers went to 600 North New York around 5 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a report about a fight.  They found Louis Matos, Jr., 41, with a stab wound to the upper body.

He was pronounced dead at Lakeland Regional Medical center shortly before 6:30 p.m.

Witnesses said Matos were arguing and pushing each other around the yard when Montgomery grabbed a knife and stabbed Matos.

There was no immediate word on what prompted the fight.  Montgomery was booked into the Polk County Jail
