LAKELAND, Fla. - Lakeland Police have arrested a man suspected of setting a woman on fire during a domestic dispute Friday night.
Police say 32-year-old Joshua Adam Kimbrough is also a suspect in a carjacking and burglary.
Officers were called to 1117 N. Stella Ave. around 7:30 p.m. in response to a woman with severe burn injuries. The unidentified 26-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, according to officials.
A few minutes later, police received a call about an armed carjacking at the Fast Stop Store at 820 E. Memorial Blvd. Police say Kimbrough is suspected of stealing a beige 2006 Toyota Van.
Kimbrough is also a suspect in a burglary around 8:30 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of Fenton Lane.
Police say Kimbrough used a credit card stolen from the Fenton Lane home at the Exxon-Mobil Station at 3437 Hwy 98 North around 9:15 p.m.
After following up on multiple leads, detectives were able to locate Kimbrough. He was taken into custody around 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police say Kimbrough was bitten by two K-9 dogs during the arrest. He was be charged once he is treated for his injuries.
Polk County Sheriff's deputies assisted in the arrest.
