Lakeland police investigating Wednesday morning homicide

LAKELAND, Fla. - Police are investigating the early morning murder of in northwest Lakeland.
Officers were near the 2100 block of Bassedena Circle West when they heard shots fired around 1:30 a.m Wednesday.
When the officers checked the area, they found a black male victim.
Investigators have not released a cause of death.
