LAKELAND, Fla. - A large eagle statue is presumed stolen after disappearing from the Resurrection Catholic School campus in Lakeland.
The statue has been a fixture in the front of the school since 2000, when it was presented to Resurrection Catholic by the eighth-grade class that year.
The eagle went missing sometime between Jan. 2 and Jan. 4.
It is described as brown and white and weighing about 200 pounds. The eagle was attached to a solid base, which is still in place at the school.
Lakeland Police are asking anyone with information on the missing eagle to please contact Detective Gries at 863-834-8979.
