LAKELAND - Grief Counselors will be present at Cleveland Court Elementary in Lakeland after one of the school’s students lost his life in a devastating Lakeland home fire late Monday night.

An 8-year-old boy named Justin, along with his grandmother died in a blaze in a home on Tradewinds Avenue.

Neighbors who saw the home go up in flames helped pull out a husband, his wife and two of their children.

But neighbor Mark Mershon says the fire spread so quickly, they couldn’t save everyone.

"The whole house was engulfed. I just couldn't get closer. I couldn't' get closer,"

The cause of the fire is still under investigation as little Justin's class-mates and teachers will get help today in dealing with his death.
