4-year-old dies in Lakeland home fire, detectives investigating

POLK COUNTY, Fla. - A 4-year-old who was trapped in a Lakeland house fire was found dead Wednesday morning.
The burning mobile home, located on the 3400 block of Sheretz Road, was reported just after 6:00 a.m.
The child’s body was found and the father of the victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital with injuries.
When deputies arrived, they discovered seven people were in the home when the fire occurred.
Polk County Sheriff's Office Homicide detectives are currently investigating the death.
