Lake Wales school on lockdown during search for suspect in fatal shooting

LAKE WALES, Fla. - McClaughlin Middle School is on lockdown as police search for a suspect who killed someone at a nearby mobile home park.
William Macauley, 38, was found dead from a single gunshot wound inside his mobile home Wednesday morning.
The victim’s home is located in the Laurel Mobile Home Park on Lake Side Drive in Lake Wales.
Investigators say someone shot Macauley through a window.
Polk County deputies and Lake Wales police are using a helicopter and k-9 teams to search the area for what they are calling a "person of interest" right now.
Because of that search, Mcclaughlin middle school has been placed on lockdown.
