HAINES CITY, Fla. - The body of a Haines City man who had gone missing more than a decade ago has been found.

Jacob Whitt was 21-years-old when he left Haines City for the Dallas area in 1997. America's Most Wanted lists him as having gone missing since January 1998. DNA tests confirmed last month that a body buried in a "John Doe" grave in Texas was the missing Whitt.

Whitt's mother, Theresa Freitas, says the Ellis County Sheriff's Office in Texas is ruling her son's death a suicide. She says she doesn't believe he killed himself.

Freitas plans on having her son's body moved and reburied in a cemetery in Florida.
