LAKELAND, Fla. - Family, friends and the Polk County law enforcement community will be remembering Master Deputy Shane Robbins at funeral services scheduled to begin at 10:00 Tuesday morning. Those services will be held at First Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland at 1010 East Memorial Blvd.
There will be a Polk County chopper fly over, taps delivered by the Polk County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard and releasing of doves by the Robbins family. In addition to other law enforcement honors outside the church.
The 15-year veteran of the Polk County Sheriff's Office died when his car ran off a Winter Haven Road Friday. According to preliminary autopsy reports, it doesn't appear Master Deputy Robbins suffered a medical episode before his car ran off the road.
Traffic in the area of East Memorial Blvd. is expected to be heavy between 10:00 Tuesday morning until around 1:00 Tuesday afternoon. If you are headed to the church or will be in the area, officials ask you to be mindful of the congestion expected.

Master Deputy Robbins is survived by his wife and five children. There is a fund set up for the family at Mid Florida Credit Union branches. Make checks payable to:
