Davenport shooting leaves one wounded; gunman at large

DAVENPORT, Fla. - A Miami man was shot while walking on a road in Davenport on Monday night.
According to Polk County Sheriff's spokesperson Donna Wood, Eliecer M. Sanchez Fuentes, 23, was walking north on Old Lake Wilson Road, near Victoria Lake Apts., around 8:45 p.m. when a white car approached him and someone fired from inside, wounding him, according to Wood.
Sanchez Fuentes was airlifted to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, but is expected to survive. He is currently in stable condition.
No other details on the shooter were released and it is not been announced if the victim knew the shooter or not.
The investigation is ongoing.
