ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Health officials are investigating a tuberculosis infection of a Pinellas County Schools employee and the possible exposure risks to others, according to the Pinellas County Health Department.
Pinellas County Schools are collaborating with the health department to determine which students and staff members may have been exposed to TB.
Officials are working to notify students and staff about the infection.
A second notification will be sent to those who officials identify as needing to be tested.
The Pinellas County Health Department will provide TB testing at no charge to
students and staff starting on Monday, July 30.
