We’ve heard a man’s best friend is a dog.

But a dog's best friend, in this case, is a dog.  And now they are both looking for a new home.

Sarah, a three year old Chihuahua, was diagnosed with a rare neurologic disease that makes it hard for her to see and walk.  Her companion, Max, a three-year-old Papillion, shows her around and protects her.

Because the of the pair’s unique camaraderie, the Humane Society of Pinellas County wants them to be adopted out together.

ABC Action News brought you this story previously, but the Humane Society says they are still available to go to a loving family.
