CLEARWATER, Fla. - Rays officials are meeting with the Pinellas County Commission to discuss the club's future.

Stu Sternberg, Rays owner, announced last week that the Major League Baseball Association no longer believes in the Tampa Bay area.

He will meet with the commission to discuss a new stadium, but St. Petersburg leaders are trying to keep the Rays from talking with other communities about building a new park.

The Rays have a deal at Tropicana Field that runs through 2027.

The Rays organization has made it clear, it wants to explore all options, including possible stadium options in Hillsborough County.

ABC Action News has a crew at the meeting.  Stay with abcactionnews.com for updates.
