CLEARWTER, Fla. - A man wanted for allegedly shooting two people, one fatally in Flint, Michigan, was taken into custody early Sunday morning in Clearwater.
According to Michigan police officials, Alex Parker Jr., 27, had shot the two men on October 12th in retaltiation after one victim allegedly shot Parker a few weeks prior.
Warrants were issued for Parker's arrest for homicide and attempted homicide. Michigan officials developed leads that pointed to Parker possibly being hat a house on Overla Street in Clearwater. Pinellas Sheriff Office detectives started to monitor the house and spotted a man matching Parker's description.
Detectives also saw several women come and go from the house. A search warrant was issued and SWAT team members entered the home Saturday morning around 1:45. Four women and nine children, ranging in age from one to 11, were inside the home at the time.
Parker was arrested and taken into custody with out incident. His relationship to the women in children is unknown at this time.
Officials say Parker has a long criminal past including felony drug charges .
Detectives continue to investigate the home Parker was found in.
