PASCO COUNTY - A Port Richey woman is facing charges in a near-fatal hit-and-run.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Krystle L. Latham, 27, hit a bicyclist Monday morning, critically injuring him.
The victim, Anthony Angelo Georgianna, 46, of Holiday, was hit in the crosswalk at the intersection of Fox Hollow Drive and Regency Park Boulevard. He was thrown onto the hood of the car and then fell onto the road.
He told troopers the driver, who had a child in the vehicle, told him she would return, but never did.
On Tuesday, witnesses reported seeing a car similar to the one involved in the crash. Troopers investigated and arrested Latham.
She was taken to the Pasco County Jail where she faces charges of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Serious Injury, Failure to Report a Crash, and Careless Driving.
Georgianna remains in critical condition at Bayonet Point Hospital.
