Two kids recovering after being hit by SUV

PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Two kids are recovering after getting hit by an SUV that fled the scene in Pasco County Monday night.

According to witnesses, the driver was getting attacked by several people and he was trying to get away from a fight.

As he sped off in his SUV, he lost control of his vehicle. He smashed through a fence and he hit two minors, 10 and 16.  The younger child was trapped under the SUV.

They were transported to All Children’s Hospital where they are recovering with non-life threatening injuries, and it is unknown how many people were hit.

Several other people were arrested at the scene.

The driver was later caught and arrested, charges are pending against him.

Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is working on the assault and Florida Highway Patrol is working on the accident.
