Two 13-year-olds charged with rape in Pasco

LAND O'LAKES, Fla. - Two 13-year-old boys were arrested for rape in separate incidents over the weekend in Pasco County.

In the first case, deputies say a boy pulled down an 8-year-old girl's pajamas and sexually assaulted her in Land O Lakes. The suspect told detectives he "could not control his urges," according to an arrest report. He was charged with involuntary sexual battery.

The second incident happened Sunday morning in Wesley Chapel. According to a report, the 13-year-old boy admitted to his father that he "ruined the 6-year-old girl's life," and said that he learned what to do from sex education and watching television. The boy also told his father he had done this on several occasions. He was arrested on a sexual battery charge.

Both boys were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center in Land O' Lakes.

Detectives said the crimes are unrelated.
