DADE CITY, Fla. - Deputies arrested a 16-year-old boy Saturday night after he allegedly shot a man multiple times.
The shooting happened at 10:30 p.m.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office the boy was with two other friends when they approached the victim behind a house located on Dade Street in Dade City.
For unknown reasons the teenager shot the victim, 21-year-old David Hernandez, multiple times. Hernandez was struck in the abdomen, leg and rear end. His injuries were reportedly not life-threatening.
The teenager, who we are not identifying, was later arrested and taken into custody. He was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center in Pasco County.
He is facing charges of attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon.
