PORT RICHEY, Fla. - Surveillance tape taken outside of a Port Richey Walmart showing a 65-year-old man becoming a hood ornament was released to ABC Action News Monday afternoon by state attorney's in Clearwater.
The video shows how the battle over a parking spot took a violent turn.
Police say the video shows Evelyn Denesi, 77, drive her Buick almost 300 yards with Harold Koller on her hood.
"The only thing I could think of is, I don't want her to get away," Koller told ABC Action News back in April.
The video was taken a few minutes before 11 a.m. on April 16 outside of the Walmart 8 at 701 U.S. 19 in Port Richey.
Minutes before the video was shot, Denesi says Koller cut her off and stole her parking spot. After parking five spots away, police say Denesi keyed Koller's car.
Koller, according to police, saw Denesi bend down toward his car. When he walked up, he noticed it had been keyed and decided to confront Denesi, police said.
Police said Denesi and Koller argued inside the store. Eventually, Denesi went back out to her car and Koller followed. Koller said he was trying to write down Denesi's tag number when she began backing out. That is when Koller walked to the front of her car.
What happened next is up for debate.
Koller said Denesi started to drive at him and he ended up on her hood as a result. Denesi alleges Koller jumped on her hood.
"Why would I jump on her hood? I am too big to jump on her hood and I had just had a quadruple bypass. I am not in that kind of shape," Koller said.
The video shows worried onlooker rush to the car and corral it.
When police showed up, they said both Denesi and Koller were still in shock. Koller, according to police, was still clinging to the hood.
"I knew if I fell off the car I was going to get hurt real bad and I couldn't let that happen," Koller added.
ABC Action News tried to reach both Denesi and Koller at their homes but they were not there.
Back in April, Denesi told ABC Action News told us she was scared and simply wanted Koller off her car.
Denesi is facing criminal mischief and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charges.
