PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A local state of emergency may be declared in Pasco Monday due damage and flood threats, according to officials.

The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners is holding a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. to discuss Tropical Storm Debby’s impact.

Many major roads are flooded, including SR 52, Ridge Road, US 19 and Little Road.

The staff plans to request a declaration of a local state of emergency.

Residents are strongly advised to stay home and not venture out.

The county will be open for business as usual.

The Emergency Operations Center is operating around the clock, providing services as needed.
