Pasco County teacher Laurie Bailey-Cutkomp will not be fired for making misbehaving students wear a dog “cone” as punishment, officials confirmed early Wednesday.

Instead, the science teacher will be transferred from Zephyrhills High School to Pasco Middle School.

Bailey-Cutkomp was set to be fired, but she and the district reached an agreement instead.

Details of that agreement -- other than the transfer -- have not been released.
