ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - A six-hour SWAT standoff ended peacefully early Saturday morning with four people under arrest.
It began at a home on Chancey Road in Zephyrhills Friday night around 6 p.m. when Pasco County Sheriff's deputies tried to make contact with suspects of a recent home invasion.
Four homes nearby were evacuated when the suspects refused to come out.
The SWAT team was eventually able to enter the home and the suspects surrendered. The four suspects arrested were identified as Jennifer Olen, 27, Stephen Bush, 37, Justin Nutter, 32, and Paul Quin, 47. Deputies say Nutter had to be taken to the hospital for evaluation for a possible drug overdose.
Deputies say the suspects were involved in a home invasion at a home in Port Richey early Friday morning where four masked suspects dressed in black clothing broke in through a sliding glass door and attacked a man laying on his couch. The victim was beaten up and tied to a door in the bedroom, but he was able to identify one of the suspects when he took his mask off as Nutter, his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend.
The suspects stole prescription drugs, several video game consoles and electronics, and $2,500.
They will be faceing several charges including robbery home invasion.
