PASCO COUNTY, Fla - A woman detained by Pasco County deputies became so feisty Tuesday night, she allegedly spit on an uniformed officer and then kicked him in the groin.
Ashley Ybarra, 23, of Dade City, is now charged with battery of a law enforcement officer.
Deputies say the were called out to the Brass Tap because a woman was attempting to sell narcotics to bar patrons.
An arrest report states deputies found Ybarra walking near Pasco Avenue and 7th Street. They say while she was walking away from them she dropped a baggie on the sidewalk. Deputies say it was later determined that the baggie was filled with cocaine.
Deputies say Ybarra finally stopped and spoke to them near Church Avenue and 7th Street.
Ybarra was asked by deputies if she had any other drugs on her person. At which point, deputies say Ybarra removed a second baggie from her pocket and held it in her clenched fist.
Deputies reportedly told Ybarra to drop the baggie and she refused.
The baggie was removed from Ybarra's hand and contained marijuana, an arrest report states.
Ybarra was placed in wrist restraints.
At that point, deputies say she began pulling and pushing against officers. Then, as she was escorted to a patrol car, she reportedly spit on an officer and then kicked that same officer in the groin.
Once in the back of the patrol car, deputies say Ybarra kicked another officer in the hand.
Ybarra is being held on $5,000 bond.
