LAKEWOOD CREST, Fla. - Florida Senator, Marco Rubio did not  speak at a rally for presidential candidate, Mitt Romney in Land O' Lakes Saturday night.

According to the Associated Press, Rubio learned that his 12 year old daughter was involved in an accident and airlifted to Miami Children's Hospital Saturday.

Rubio left to be with his daughter after he was informed about the accident at the second campaign stop..

A source later confirmed that Amanda Rubio was riding in a golf cart with classmates when the vehicle was involved in a collision.

Rubio spokesman Alex Conant said Sunday that Amanda Rubio is undergoing neurological testing. Conant says the long-term prognosis is positive for the senator's oldest daughter.

The Senator had accompanied Romney at two prior speaking engagements earlier in the day and was expected to speak at a third rally at Land O' Lakes High School.

Rubio has four children who continue to live at the family's West Miami home while he commutes to Washington.
