LAND O' LAKES, Fla. - Severe weather rolled through the Bay area after a tornado warning was issued in the Bay area last night.
No tornado hit, but it brought on a stormy night, some much needed rain and for one Land O Lakes family, a jolt from lightning.
Lightning hit the Karell family’s house around 7:30 Monday night.
The strike was so strong, it blew out the house’s fuse box, shattered a couple of windows and knocked some pictures off a wall.
The children were actually watching tv when the house was hit.
Jim Karell says he’s just happy everyone is alright.
They are now staying with other family members until the power is turned on and the windows get fixed.
