PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A woman who left a bicyclist injured in the road after hitting him two weeks ago may face additional charges now that the victim has died, according to authorities.
Krystle Lynn Latham, 27, was arrested on October 2, a day after her vehicle hit 46-year-old Anthony Angelo Georgianna when he was riding his bike.
Latham, who was driving with a three-year-old boy in her vehicle, hit Georgianna at the intersection of Fox Hollow Drive and Regency Park Blvd.
He was thrown onto the hood of her vehicle before he fell in the road.
The victim told authorities that Latham told him she would come back, but she never returned.
The victim was receiving treatment at Bayonet Point Hospital, but he died from his injuries on October 17.
The investigation has now been turned over to the traffic homicide unit for investigation.
Latham was initially charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Serious Injury, Failure to Report a Crash, and Careless Driving.
Because of Georgianna’s death, her charges may be upgraded.
