HOLIDAY, Fla. - Jacqueline Moore told deputies she does not smoke marijuana. She is not a "druggie," according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.
So why, a deputy asked, did she have a 2-foot-tall marijuana plant sitting on the curb outside her house?
Moore, 55, said a neighbor had given her the leafy green plant a few months ago when it was a "baby plant," according to the report.
But it had grown too big lately, she said, and did not want to get in trouble for growing it, so she uprooted it and put it out with the trash.
Moore said she was only growing the plant because it was "cute."
Moore now faces a charge of cultivation of marijuana.
