Pasco firefighters find the body of a man inside a Holiday house damaged in a New Year's Eve fire

HOLIDAY, Fla. - The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation after firefighters found the body of a man in a home damaged by a fire.

Deputies say Pasco Fire Rescue responded to a fire at the home on Mosaic Drive around 10:20 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

After searching the house, firefighters discovered the body of a man in his 50's inside the residence. The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives are also looking into the cause of the fire which was contained mostly to a bedroom.
