Deputies said that Geddes was very drunk and was swinging the little boy in his yard that is adjacent to a canal.
Geddes and the 14-month-old some how fell into the canal. On lookers offered help to try and pull the baby from the water. Geddes refused help from the others, officials said.
While Geddes refused help, the baby started to take on water. Finally, someone witnessing the drowning jumped into the canal and pulled the baby from the water.
