Southbound I-75 re-opened after five car involved accident

PASCO COUNTY - Florida Highway Patrol responded to an accident on Interstate 75 southbound at State Road 56 East, troopers reported.

All southbound lines of I-75 were shut down for several hours.

FHP diverted traffic onto State Road 56.

One person was reportedly flown from the scene to Tampa General Hospital for unknown injuries.

FHP troopers say a total of five vehicles were involved in the accident.

It is unclear how many people were involved and the extent of any additional injuries.
