TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. - In his first Epiphany dive, 17-year-old Louis Mailisand retrieved the second cross thrown during the Epiphany celebration in Tarpon Springs.  The first one originally went unclaimed due to a high tide and muddy bottom.

Dozens of teenagers plunged into very cold water Friday afternoon as part of the decades-old Epiphany celebration.

In the end, Mailisand from Tarpon High School ended up with the cross, but it took a long time and a do-over to complete the task.

According to tradition, Mailisand receives a year of good blessings for finding the cross.
